Microsoft Whatcom Village
As part of Microsoft’s 4 million square foot modernization of its main corporate campus in Redmond, WA, PPC successfully completed work on five buildings—N, O, P, Q, and K. The project featured high-end architectural finishes designed to align with Microsoft’s branding vision, incorporating a wide range of colors and textures.
Our scope included the painting of exposed structural ceilings and architecturally exposed steel elements, including striking feature stair systems in each building. These finishes not only met rigorous aesthetic standards but also contributed to the modern, innovative atmosphere of the revitalized campus.

The project demanded exceptional quality due to its distinctive architecture and finishes, all under close owner scrutiny. Despite a highly congested site that caused frequent trade damage and limited production, the team maintained precision and performance through careful coordination and adaptability.
To ensure owner approval, PPC provided mock-ups for each color and system, supported by seamless coordination between management and production. The team also adjusted staffing and shifts to overcome production constraints, while maintaining real-time communication on trade damage to keep the contractor fully informed and responsive.
