Sound Transit L-200
Part of the 8.5-mile Lynnwood Link Extension, this project included coatings and sealant work at the 145th and 185th Station & Garage sites. PPC installed epoxy flooring, high-performance coatings, pigmented sealers, and water repellents. Work also covered elevated stations and 500-space garages at 148th and 185th. Applications included traffic coatings on 270,000 SF of parking decks and static-dissipative resinous flooring in electrical rooms.
This high-visibility public project faced several challenges, including a six-month concrete strike and the complexity of working within active Link light rail corridors. Maintaining safety and schedule integrity required careful coordination and planning to minimize disruptions in these dynamic and constrained work zones.
To maintain high standards, PPC increased onsite supervision and set clear expectations for professionalism and appearance. The team adapted to frequent schedule changes—especially during the strike—while maintaining productivity and a positive attitude. Additional training and deployment of experienced crew ensured safe, efficient work in active Link rail zones.
